A compact ultrasonic anemometer for accurate low-speed wind measurement with no moving parts.
| Datasheet |
Product Description
The HD53LS Ultrasonic Anemometer is designed for precise measurement of wind speed and direction, with high sensitivity to low wind speeds where traditional mechanical sensors may struggle.
Using ultrasonic technology with no moving parts, it provides reliable and maintenance-free operation over time. The integrated magnetic compass simplifies installation by providing direction reference without the need for manual alignment.
Available with analog or RS485 Modbus RTU outputs, the HD53LS integrates easily into weather stations, environmental monitoring systems, and building automation applications. Its robust design and low power consumption make it suitable for both fixed and remote installations.
Key Features:
- 2-axis ultrasonic wind measurement (speed and direction)
- High sensitivity for low wind speed detection
- No moving parts → low maintenance and long-term reliability
- Measures up to 50 m/s wind speed with high accuracy
- Integrated magnetic compass for easy installation
- Outputs available: analog or RS485 Modbus RTU
- Configurable averaging interval (1 s to 10 min)
- Low power consumption for remote or solar-powered systems
- Rugged IP66 housing for outdoor environments
- Suitable for weather stations, HVAC, agriculture, and industrial applications
This product is different from the popular model HD52.3D that:
- It measures wind direction and wind speed only.
- Only 1 output type is support (specified when ordering). It can be digital MODBUS-RTU output or analog output (4-20 mA, 0-1 V, 0-5 V or 0-10V).
It is still possible to configure the instrument with RS232.
The cable needs to be ordered separately. If it is not ordered, a fly connector will be provided free of charge for the users to solder their own cable to it.
