Product Description

The HD52.3DT147 Ultrasonic Weather Station is a compact, all-in-one solution for measuring key meteorological parameters, including wind speed and direction, temperature, relative humidity, rainfall, and barometric pressure.

Based on 2-axis ultrasonic technology, it provides accurate wind measurement with no moving parts, ensuring low maintenance and long-term reliability. The integrated magnetic compass automatically compensates wind direction, simplifying installation without precise alignment.

Designed for versatility, the HD52.3DT147 supports multiple outputs including RS232, RS485, RS422, SDI-12, and analog signals, allowing easy integration into weather stations, environmental monitoring systems, and industrial applications. Its low power consumption makes it ideal for remote installations powered by solar panels.

Key Features:

  • All-in-one weather station measuring:
    • Wind speed & direction (ultrasonic)
    • Temperature (Pt100 sensor)
    • Relative humidity (capacitive sensor)
    • Rainfall (tipping bucket)
    • Barometric pressure (piezoresistive sensor)
  • Ultrasonic wind measurement (no moving parts) → low maintenance
  • Wide wind speed range: 0 to 60 m/s
  • Integrated magnetic compass for automatic wind direction correction
    • High accuracy sensors:
    • Temperature: ±0.15°C
    • Humidity: ±1.5% RH
    • Pressure: ±0.5 hPa
  • Multi-interface communication: RS232, RS485, RS422, SDI-12
  • Supports MODBUS-RTU, NMEA, SDI-12, proprietary protocols
  • 2 analog outputs (wind speed & direction)
  • Configurable averaging intervals (1 s to 10 min)
  • Optional heater for cold environments
  • Low power consumption for solar-powered systems
  • Rugged IP66 enclosure for outdoor use

The rain gauge on the top of the instrument is a tipping bucket rain gauge. Regular cleaning of the filter and bucket is required (typically every 6 months in Singapore).

Shown below is an installation of the instrument in Singapore.
